Article about Plaforma workshop in FOS Media: Co-owner and ship architect Vitomir preserves the tradition of wooden boats in Montenegro

Our workshop was visited by the Montenegrin Internet Portal FOS media as part of the cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and within the project “Living Culture”.

“In a small modern workshop in Cattaro, Vitomir Vujovic preserves the tradition of making wooden boats. Born in traditional maritime family, love for small ship models and wooden boats has from young age. At the moment in his workshop is arising first traditional wooden boat done by modern standards and materials in in Montenegro.”

”He joined the Montenegrin and Mediterranean shipbuilding craftsmanship with a modern technological approach in production and 3D modelling. He is currently working on the creation of the first modernized Montenegrin wooden boat. In addition to modeling and making new ones, Vitomir also repairs and reconstructed old wooden boats. His working moto is: As long as there are trees in the forest, a wooden boat is not old”
